The Era of Reawakening

Born human, we can never escape the design of this Fated Realm. The inexplicable truth is that the Fated Realm is nested in endless cycles, with no beginning or end, no limit... Everything is merely a game of “endlessly intricate repetition” seen from the perspectives of different mediums... This is the story of a human trying to escape a dream designed specifically for human society, where “the Dao Realm and the Arts Realm, justice and evil, clash,” and struggling against fate. Through it, the story also conducts multidimensional theoretical experiments as it considers models of the human world system.

The story begins with a college thesis: the protagonist, Xin Wu, fails to get his thesis topic approved. One night, he dreams his way into another world that perfectly matches his theories, where he meets the heroine, Mu Yi. When he wakes during the night, he tries to recreate the dream and find her again. Each combination brings a different “slice of reality” and a new adventure. Quite by chance, he becomes the founder of the Dao and takes on two disciples, Yang Guan and Du Mu. He meets the heroine again, only to learn that Mu Yi is the ruler of the Arts Realm, with Jiao Yue and Yao Qiao as her disciples. Xin Wu brings his own two disciples into the other world, and the two leads fall in love. Their disciples are busy too, embarking on a four-way romance that descends into rebellion and chaos. Then their new masters arrive: the twin brothers Tai Yi and Da Ni, who take them on as disciples as Lord Gong Dan of the Righteous Realm and Lord Ji Fu of the Evil Realm, respectively. Changing masters only makes things livelier. Before returning to the real world, the male lead discusses with Mu Yi how to end the world's conflicts and stay with his beloved forever. They try to break out of the Fated Realm, but the manager of “Time” suddenly appears, and a new cycle begins... When Xin Wu wakes, he is dazed. He deletes his original title and types: Repeating Emptiness Chronicles.
