Ballad of Mountains and Rivers Across Three Lifetimes

Serious version (not really): Nothing is more beautiful in this world than a whale fall. With a single thought, grass sprouts; with another, mountains and rivers take shape. Changsheng has spent his life seeking immortality, but unexpectedly becomes the disciple of a ravishing, coquettish mountain master who rules an empty mountain. What surprises him even more is that she has no magic at all. He only wants peace and quiet, so he accepts his fate and stays to cultivate in seclusion. From then on, however, his life of cultivation is anything but peaceful. Plot version: Since ancient times, the ancient whale clan has possessed priceless treasures, making them coveted by all as “Tang Monk’s flesh.” One human accidentally trespasses on their territory, bringing about the clan’s annihilation. Jing Luo, the whale clan’s leader, vows to avenge her people and signs a contract with the God of Death. She single-handedly wipes out an entire country’s army, and the God King Yan Li seals her away in a frozen land on North Island. When the God King Yan Li perishes, the barrier destroys itself, and Jing Luo, still consumed by vengeance, returns to the world. This time, she will embrace death and fight her way through every immortal under heaven, to honor the spirits of her entire clan. A beautiful immortal who is sarcastic, coquettish, and powerless VS a no-nonsense cultivator who keeps everyone at arm’s length, is frail and sickly, and could be mistaken for either gender. In short, it’s a cultivation “revenge” story about a scheming woman who tries every trick to tease her young disciple, while he indulges her without limits.
