The ancient immortal emperor descended to earth and experienced the suffering of the country's subjugation. He pitied the people of the Chen country. The country was destroyed and people perished. Princess Xunyan of the Chen country jumped from the wall of the capital city when the army of Yaohan invaded. It was known in history as Xunyan's sacrifice to the country. Xunyan's body was completely destroyed and she lost all her soul. Seeing this son's patriotic and filial piety, Guanshiyin Bodhisattva was moved by heaven and earth, and thought that she was of the mortal blood of the Immortal Emperor. Then she stored her remaining two souls and seven souls in spiritual jade. Xunyan's mother, Queen Nan Yanrong of the Chen Kingdom, was supposed to be promoted to Fairy Yuhui after a catastrophe. In order to save Xunyan, she destroyed her sacred bones and begged Guanyin Bodhisattva to merge her soul into the spiritual jade to perfect her daughter. Finally, it turned into a three-legged blue bird and flew in the sky.
