The System’s Art of Training a Beloved Consort

A nontraditional System story. The relationship between the leads develops gradually, the male lead grows stronger over time, and they’re each other’s one and only. No angst, that’s my bottom line~ Scene one: Liu Qin’er takes out a glass lamp and lights it while the emperor isn’t looking. In an instant, two or three stars appear in the sky. More and more emerge, until dozens of stars fill the heavens, shining brightly and making the night sky glow with dazzling beauty… The emperor draws Liu Qin’er into his arms to shield her from the cold breeze, gazing up at the stars himself. Scene two: The emperor walks over, poker-faced. Liu Qin’er says gently, “Your Majesty, do you know how to date?” “As a consort of the imperial harem, you go around talking about such vulgar things all day. Aren’t you afraid I’ll punish you?” the emperor asks, his expression unchanged. “Your Majesty, you’ve got me all wrong. You haven’t visited Yunlu Hall in ages. I simply miss you, and I’m rather enamored with the scene conjured up by those three words: ‘going on a date.’” A flicker of amusement crosses the emperor’s face. He teases, “I didn’t know you had a talent for inventing words.” … This is my first novel, and I won’t let you down, dearies. I’ll do my best to finish it and will never abandon it. Come on in, and mwah~
