Joy in the Farmhouse: The Silly Husband Won't Leave

[An emotionally clueless, hopelessly dense doctor-chef versus a seemingly honest but secretly calculating general] Li Ruyi, born into a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, becomes an ugly girl in an ancient mountain village after an accident. When she first arrives, she finds a whole family of heartless people who drive her family of five out of their home. Her mother is sick, her father is worried, and her younger sister and brother are still very young. On top of that, she is sick and taking medicine. It’s one disaster after another. With no other choice, Li Ruyi finds ways to do business and earn silver, so her little family can look forward to a better life and work its way to prosperity. Greedy relatives want a share? Dream on! The scummy man and his mistress regret it? Not a chance! ◆◆◆ Then one day, her younger sister brings home a big, foolish man... and wants him to be her husband? The amnesiac simpleton latches onto a village girl, working tirelessly for her and acting like a beast of burden. He gives up being a general to become her live-in son-in-law. Li Ruyi: “Big guy, I can’t afford to support you.” Big guy: “I’ll support you.” Li Ruyi: “...Big guy, you should go home.” Big guy: “You are my home.” Li Ruyi: “...” Has this fool become completely ridiculous? How could she possibly be his home? The big guy thinks: I’m sticking with you for good! P.S. One couple, devoted to each other in body and heart, sweet romance, no angst. Farming and business, building a life of prosperity.
