Searching Beyond the Light-Years

Five years ago, Lin Jingshu, who suffered from depression, became Pei Yunsheng’s personal assistant through a twist of fate. At first, her only job was to take care of his daily needs, but her talent for business planning was discovered by chance. With Pei Yunsheng’s support, she became a rising star in the group. Just as Lin Jingshu was working hard, hoping for a promotion and a raise so she could achieve financial freedom and retire early, Pei Yunsheng, the boss she had worked with for two years, confessed his feelings for her. His advances didn’t make her happy. Instead, she thought that romance was bad for her finances, so she left without a second thought. Three years later, Lin Jingshu had become a moderately well-known writer. When she reunited with her former boss and saw Pei Yunsheng confessing again with a hefty gold bracelet in hand, she decided that maybe love wasn’t all that bad for her finances after all. Perhaps she could give it a try.
