Tales of an Assassin

In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, there were rumors about the "Sky Thorn" among the underworld assassins. The one who got the Heavenly Thorn iron plate would be the assassin. In the next twenty-six years, there was fighting and bloodshed, and the Tianci Iron Tablet changed owners ninety-six times. The successive Tianci Iron Tablets were in charge of the Iron Tablet for such a short period of time that even their names were unknown. According to the records in "Beisheng Notes·Tang Dynasty·Biography of Strange People·Liu Qiancheng", in the 21st year of Zhenguan, Liu Qiancheng, the chief assassin of Canjun Pavilion, fought with Tianci Aicheng in Chang'an. The underworld voluntarily withdrew from Chang'an City for hundreds of miles, and the confrontation between the two lasted for a long time. In the 22nd year of Zhenguan, on the sixth day of the first lunar month, the body of Aicheng was discovered by the government on the roof of the Bafang Inn. Liu Qiancheng was in charge of the Tianci Iron Tablet. In the following three years, the Tianci Iron Tablet never changed hands, and hundreds of top assassins died at the hands of Liu Qiancheng.
