Spare Me, Grand Imperial Teacher

Feng Ling was a cultivation prodigy the likes of which the prosperous Tang Dynasty saw only once in a thousand years. At just eighteen, despite being a woman, she had already taken the esteemed position of Imperial Preceptor! But just as she was breaking through her limits to form a Golden Core, a heavenly lightning bolt struck her. Her soul was scattered. On the verge of death, Feng Ling sealed one fragment of her shattered spirit deep within her soul, where it could slowly recover, waiting for the day she would rise again! A thousand years later: A beautiful, dimwitted young woman was given away for free by her own servants to a man. They wanted her to spend the rest of her life dying in some remote mountain valley so they could seize her family fortune. When the man saw how beautiful the girl was, the seal broke in her moment of peril, and the Imperial Preceptor returned. Mocked as a fool who could never get into college, the esteemed Imperial Preceptor went straight for the best and most mysterious university in the country: Imperial University. What? Imperial University doesn't test academic knowledge? All you have to do is survive its trials to get in and study at the mysterious Imperial University? So the so-called trials are actually about taming... You should've said so sooner! I'm an expert at this stuff.
