A Fine Husband of Great Qi

Lost in the wilderness and returned to the Great Qi Dynasty, Chen Li begins the national heartthrob upgrade quest. A merchant's son-in-law, an actor's lover, a talented woman's husband... He has the strongest luck with women, yet he's only a stand-in groom. When trouble comes, he's the one who takes the fall, but there's no chance of making it official. A disagreement and out comes the sword; a difference of opinion and someone gets poisoned. He causes trouble every few days, only to end up with a loving wife.

He combats plagues, punishes corrupt officials, competes in poetry, and reopens wrongful convictions. He turns imperial banquet dishes into hit songs, promotes farming, brews wine, and makes glass. He wins the imperial exams, survives on a deserted island, fights spy wars, hunts criminals, crosses the sea, and quells rebellions: every challenge pushes him to the limit. National grudges, family feuds, power, and treasure: the Church, the court, the prince's estate, and foreign lands are all rife with schemes.

"Son-in-law, son-in-law, the young lady is in danger!"

Chen Xiao'er grabs a kitchen knife. "Don't be afraid, my dear! Your husband is coming!"
