Where Do Insects Come From?

An ancient star chart made the Jixia scholar Wu Lan doubt everything he had learned at the academy.

The sages told him that the ancestors of the Continent of Kings came from Earth, and that super-intelligent beings from Earth had created everything on the continent. Carrying the vast knowledge of Earth's age, they arrived aboard the Ark. They gave us wisdom and knowledge, as well as the wondrous arts of mechanisms and magic. They helped us escape our primitive ignorance and bridge the gulf between civilizations.

But was that really the truth? Who on the Continent of Kings could verify it?

No one, except those super-intelligent beings.

When you hear a story that only its narrator can verify, you should be prepared: it's nothing more than a hoax he wrote, directed, and starred in himself.

But that's all there is to it. Don't expect to expose a hoax like that.

After all, insects can never prove that they are insects.
