My Top 100 Completed Books

This list features the top 100 books I’ve read, selected and ranked by me. I’ll keep maintaining and updating it over time. Here’s my initial rating plan: 1. Readability (out of 5): Factors include how satisfying the story is and how smoothly the plot unfolds. 2. Reading experience (out of 5): Judged by issues such as plot holes and typos that affect the reading experience. 3. Story depth (out of 5): Rated based on the story’s content. 4. Characterization (out of 5): An overall assessment of the

A List of Creative and Unusual Reads

A personal list of completed books with unusual and creative concepts. I mainly recommend books with wild ideas, few or no comparable works, and that are at least readable enough to finish. Updated irregularly. I also have another list, “My Top 100 Completed Books,” with my subjective reviews of the completed works I’ve read. I hope these two lists can help with your reading slump.

To Gain Is to Be Startled; to Lose Is to Be Startled. This Is What It Means to Be Startled by Favor or Disgrace.

After seeing the vast ocean, no other water will do; once you've seen the clouds over Mount Wu, no others compare. A list of books that struck a chord with me.

2018 Urban Night Owl’s Story Pavilion

White-collar work is exhausting these days, and the mortgage weighs heavily. A little leisure is precious 😇. As a city dweller returning home late at night, I find solace in that bookshop after dark, in the jungle of concrete and steel. I don't want reading to make me feel stupid 😋. I wouldn't claim that every book on this list is top-tier, but they're all books with some class. 🤘🏼😀 Most important of all, the plot has to be good. No padding, please. (•́ω•̀ ٥) No brainless stories, no formulaic

Plot-Driven Reads, No Hand-Holding: 1. Sci-Fi

A mix of hard and soft sci-fi, including both civilization-building stories and tales of the protagonist's growth. These are sci-fi novels I think suit my tastes: they have fresh settings, relatively complete frameworks, and are enjoyable to read. The male and female leads shouldn't be total airheads, and they should have some brains. The plot shouldn't be so predictable that you know the ending from the opening, and a few surprises are always welcome. The prose shouldn't be a string of exam-sty

Must-Read Hidden Gems with Potential!

Plot-Driven, Not for Beginners: A Variety of Genres ①

🌼There's already a second list, too, so if you're looking for something to read, give it a follow. 🌸Some books from the main list will gradually be moved to the genre lists and removed, so feel free to follow the genre lists you like. 🌸Because of the list size limit, reviews for some books of the same type will be collected under a single book. 🌸Please follow and send flowers~😁 🌻There are six genre lists🌻: Plot-driven stories (not dumbed down): ① Sci-fi ② Fantasy ③ High fantasy ④ Urban ⑤ Histor

My Personal Reading List

This is just my personal reading log. There are duds and gems, and I only add books after I've finished them, so there are almost no ongoing novels here. I'll also include books I couldn't finish for one reason or another. I prefer no romance pairings by far, then a single female lead, then multiple female leads. I generally don't read stories with multiple female leads unless the writing is exceptionally, exceptionally good. I'll add more as I think of it.

My Full-Subscription Hidden Gems

This is a commemorative list with four criteria: the book must be available for subscription, I must have read it to the end, I must have subscribed to the entire book, and it must not yet have earned the “excellent work” designation. I'll remove books once they earn it. Of course, differences in perception caused by subjective opinions in reviews are perfectly normal. I haven't written many reviews myself, so sensible discussion is welcome. One more thing: This list isn't meant to recommend b

The World's Secret Arts

My top pick is The Secrets of the World There are only so many endings, but beginnings are always full of promise. Stories may all follow the same patterns, but authors often put a lot of thought into crafting their openings. After that, many fall into the same old routines. A monkey's greatest skill is holding tight to the vine in its hand until it can reach the next one. We're the same. Until we find a better book, we keep following one story after another instead of letting them go. I'm b

My Reading List

Some books I've read, generally in the categories of [history], [Infinite], [Lord God construction], and [daily life]. Intelligence intact, blessed with Shennong's spirit, immune to every poison, and willing to test books firsthand. Some novels still have flaws, but their authors are working hard to improve. Please be generous and encourage them. Calm and uneventful.

Why I started: I mainly want to share good books I've read with everyone! I also hope to help fellow readers find more solid reads! I recommend new books and ongoing series, and generally don't recommend completed older books. I've tried them myself, so you can trust my honest opinions! Note 1: New books risk being abandoned. Books for a Reading Drought (Mostly Dark and Funny, Absolutely No Goody-Two-Shoes Heroines)

I'm an old hand at reading web novels. I've read a bit of everything, and this list is just for the ones I found interesting. It has all kinds of genres: infinite-loop, dark, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, and more. The one thing I won't tolerate is holier-than-thou heroines 😁😁😁

Personal Favorites (Shared Values, Mostly Obscure)

I’ve Forgotten Every Tragedy; All I See Are Miracles

Believe in the goodness of this world, and pass that goodness on. Only then can the future be brighter. Cross mountains and ridges to see the scenery beyond them. What I love is the explosive release after being pushed to the limit. If you don't speak up, no one will hear you. If you never open your heart to others, no one will ever understand you. If you want to be saved, say so. If you need to cry, don't hold it back. Only then can “I” save “you.” A small part of this review has nothing to do
