Memories drift like dreams, leaving the fragrance of the jianghu behind. I write these honest words to tell of the small parting in my heart, both now and long ago.

This book consists of a dozen or so short stories, all connected in some way to the central organization, the Jianghu Pavilion. Each story has its own leading and supporting characters, along with a colorful cast of others. The stories are also linked to one another in various ways.

Reclining in seclusion on the eastern mountain, my heart belongs to the jianghu. I have long forgotten the days of youthful romance.

After the songs end, I hoe the fields beneath the eastern hedge.

The land lies shattered, heroes meet their end, and the splendor of the martial world fades away.

Now, in my youth, I take up my brush again and recount the wuxia spirit of years gone by.
