The Imperial Consort's Rise to Power

When the emperor was still a prince, he promised the general who supported his ascension that if they each had children in the future, their families would be joined by marriage. Later, after he became emperor, he stood by his word. So when Yu Wenwan learned she was to marry the Second Prince, she knelt for a long time outside her father’s study, begging him not to let her marry. But the saying that an emperor’s word is law cost Yu Wenwan her life. Qing Wan transmigrated into Yu Wenwan’s body and took her place, living on in her stead. She married the Second Prince as planned and embarked on a rise through the ranks.
