The Princess’s Rise to Power

The Ming Emperor lives for pleasure. Whenever trouble arises, he hastily flees, never forgetting to take the beauties of his harem and his wealth with him.

The court ministers scheme against one another, while none will lift a finger even as foreign enemies eye them hungrily.

The entire Great Shun seems to have only one reliable person: Princess Shuhua.

She takes on rival princesses, keeps the consorts in line, and plots the course of the court. This young woman can turn the world upside down with a flick of her hand.

Princess Shuhua has a grand ambition: to have a whole clan of children with her husband.

Hearing this, her husband smiled faintly. “Then let's get to work tonight.”

But the Ming Emperor laid down the law: “Don't come wandering in front of Me unless you have to. Just seeing you gives Me a headache.”

Across the land, she alone dares to blow up the great river dam, heedless of the lives of three hundred thousand people, and earn the condemnation of the scholars.

Demand that this princess take her own life to atone? What a joke.

So what if I'm a woman? I will be empress, and if you don't like it, come and stop me.

And so the Ming Emperor tossed her a tiger tally. “This is your dowry.”
