Married to the Bone

Jiang Luxi had been married to Ji Ning for two years. They had made love countless times, yet she had never become pregnant. Only later did she learn that her husband had been framing her all along. The doctor told her that the drugs she had taken might have left her infertile for life. * Over the two years of their marriage, she had changed herself into someone she barely recognized. All just to secure a place in his heart. Little did she know he had made her infertile for life for the sake of another woman. * “A Ning, let’s get a divorce.” Looking at the sickly woman lying in the hospital bed, she finally gave up. His dark eyes fixed on her face, unfathomable. “Luxi, she’s been lying here for years, wishing she were dead.” She recoiled in fear, a flicker of panic in her eyes. “I never hurt her.” He suddenly let out a cold laugh. “You’ve lived all these years and still don’t know that a father’s debts fall to his son?” He would give her neither a way out nor an end to her suffering. All he wanted was for her to spend her life longing for his love, suffering as if she were already dead. * Later, Mrs. Ji pushed the woman her husband had loved before he woke from his coma down the stairs. At last, he threw a divorce agreement at her, leaving her with nothing. On the eve of her departure, in the chill of the night, he gripped her by the throat and slammed her against the wall, his eyes bloodshot and terrifying. “Jiang Luxi, how could you lower yourself to sleep with him? Was it just so you could divorce me?” “A Ning, I’m so vile that I won’t show my face before you again and sully your eyes, not even when you die.” He let go, and she left. But at dawn came the terrible news: she had perished in a plane crash.
