Bewitching Beauty: Addicted to Her Lord

She is the delicate young lady of the Prime Minister’s residence, breathtakingly beautiful and seemingly sweet-natured. He is Kyoto’s notorious tyrant, abusing his royal connections to run wild. When they meet, people call it a match made in heaven. But they say it is a compromise made for the one they love. She fends off his admirers, sparring with this one and teasing that one, sipping tea and playing a little music, keeping herself wonderfully busy. Meanwhile, he secretly rubs his hands together, determined to put this woman who dares to school him in her place. When conspiracies quietly emerge and the veil in their hands is lifted, the world realizes it had misjudged them. He raises his sword-like brows, proud and imposing. “Hurt me, and it is your crime alone. Hurt her, and the whole world is guilty.” She looks back with a bewitching smile. “Man or demon, sin or salvation, through heaven or hell, I will go with him.” With a carefree smile, she watches schemes melt like snow, then points her sword at the realm, seeking peace and stability for this prosperous age. After all the splendor, they withdraw from the world. When people fail to understand, they simply smile. A hundred years of clouds and mist pass in the blink of an eye. We will not trade our true hearts for worldly splendor. All they seek is a lifetime of peace. Scene One “Give him... a beating! He dares cause trouble on my turf? Beat him until even his parents can’t recognize him.” Lin Zhi Yan lounged in a chair, legs crossed, cracking sunflower seeds as he spoke. “Yes! I’ll take care of it right away. Please wait, Master.” Huang Jin stepped forward, ready to throw a punch. “Master Lin, Miss Xie is here,” Bai Yin reported. “What? Why didn’t you say so sooner? Quick, help this young man up.” Upstairs, Xie You Ran said calmly, “A Yan, I got here before you.” In other words, you can stop pretending. Lin Zhi Yan: “...” Scene Two “Wife, I’m innocent. You have to believe me!” Lin Zhi Yan clutched his collar and huddled in a corner, lamenting. Sob, sob. His innocence had nearly been ruined. Xie You Ran lifted the chin of the disheveled woman and said coolly, “Miss, I really don’t know what you could possibly have done to spend a night with a man who can’t perform.” With those words, the mystery of why Master Lin never got close to women in Kyoto was solved. Lin Zhi Yan: “...” Scene Three “Madam, Master has disappeared. His life or death is unknown.” The servant delivered the news, grief written across his face. Xie You Ran walked gracefully toward the door. He had promised to return today, but he had broken his promise. Then she would go find him. In this vast and splendid world, who could possibly keep them apart? This is the story of a wickedly charming man being bossed around. It is a story of doting and being doted on, loving and being loved. It is a story of carefree bliss.
