The Tough Farm Girl

A history graduate student from the 21st century transmigrates into the body of a young girl from a poor family in ancient times.

All she can see is one broken-down house, half an acre of barren land, a father with a lame leg, and a mother who dotes on her children.

Even this meager property, barely enough to feed the family, has greedy relatives eyeing it. Grandma says, “Son, since your leg is lame anyway, why not lend the land to your older brother so he can farm it?”

The heroine: “Ha. Do you think I don't know I'd never get it back if I lent it to him?”

Her aunt says, “Dear niece, the Wang family is a wonderful match. If you become their child bride, you'll never have to worry about food or clothes.”

The heroine: “Everyone knows the Wang family's son is an idiot. Why don't you go, Aunt? They won't mind that you've already been married.”

Another aunt says, “Since you and your wife don't have a son, why not let my second boy be adopted into your family? That way, someone will be there to care for you in your old age.”

The heroine: “Get lost! Everyone knows you just want to grab my family's property.”

No land? No problem! There's plenty in the mountains!

No decent house? No problem! I'll build one myself out of bricks!

No dowry? No problem! I'll save up for one myself!

No younger brother? No problem! I'll have one myself... No, I'll get Mom healthy so she can have one!

Watch Gu Minmin punch her greedy relatives and kick her crooked neighbors, as the obedient modern girl is forced to become a fierce country woman and leads her family down the road to prosperity.
