The Substitute Consort

In her previous life, she was poor all her life. After her father died in a car accident, her mother hastily remarried. For her younger sister's sake, she gave up her education. But all she got in return for sacrificing her future was her sister's betrayal. Only when she learned that she was terminally ill, took the blame for a suicide, and watched her soul leave her body did she realize that the death sentence she'd received was merely her sister's way of escaping punishment.

In this life, she is a saintess. She should have kind parents and a warm, happy family, but fate still plays a cruel joke on her. Her entire clan sacrifices everything to keep her alive, yet she has no choice but to accept a lowly life, trampled into the dirt.

When she learns that her younger cousin has been chosen for a political marriage, she has no choice but to step forward once more and take her place in a foreign land.

Lord? Subject? Husband? Wife?

She is no more than a pawn in his hands. When two bridal sedan chairs are carried into the Crown Prince's residence at the same time, even as a saintess, she has no choice but to share the same man with another woman.

How can she escape this life in which she is controlled? When the contract is signed, she does not gain true freedom. All she wins is the other party's interested attention.
