A Dream of Jade City and Golden Steps

Qing Xi was an orphan raised in the Prince of Yan's residence. With no one knowing who she was or where she came from, she learned from an early age that she could rely only on herself. She studied literature and martial arts with more dedication than anyone else, and was even more passionate than others about medicine and strategy.

She had been saving her monthly allowance since childhood so she could buy her freedom. But after she was chosen to serve as a guard in the Prince of Yan's residence, she decided to stay. Qing Xi felt that roaming the martial world might bring freedom, but it couldn't match the satisfaction of helping the Prince of Yan solve the world's most baffling cases.

She stayed because it interested her, but once she discovered her true identity, she quietly left.

She couldn't let go of the enmity between their countries and the vendetta against her family, but she couldn't bring herself to take revenge either. So she could only choose to flee to another land.

But how could the Prince of Yan let Qing Xi wander alone? He never gave up on finding her and bringing her back.

And so the chase began.
