Addicted to His Sickly Sweet Love

Publication title: Please, Just Comfort Me

Synopsis: Song Shao’s “Affliction and Adoration” Diagnosis

Name: Song Ci (male)

Age: 25

Symptoms: All memories are erased every 72 hours. This has happened without exception for ten years, but recently something unusual has occurred: the actress Ruan Jiangxi is the only person Song Ci remembers. (Note from special assistant Qin Jiang: I’ve served the boss for seven years, and every three days he still asks me, “Who are you?” Miss Ruan has only been around for a few days, and already the boss is telling her, “I don’t remember anyone. I only remember you. So, will you only like me?”)

Doctor’s recommendation: Neural bypass surgery combined with hypnotherapy

Patient’s statement: Why should I get treatment? Remembering my Jiangxi is enough.

Doctor’s diagnosis: The patient’s family member, Ruan Jiangxi, has taken over his thoughts and consciousness. Medical science defines this as profound dissociative amnesia.

Psychology has another name for Song Ci’s condition: Ruan Jiangxi.

Who is Ruan Jiangxi?

The only Chinese actress to win Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival for a single work.

Scene:

When the usually ruthless and aloof young Master Song has an episode, he develops a condition commonly known as “Jiangxi obsession”:

“I don’t remember who I am, but I remember you. You’re Ruan Jiangxi.”

“Why did it take you so long to come find me?”

“I called you so many times, and you didn’t answer a single one.”

“If you don’t come soon, I’m going to your house to find you.”
