An ordinary little girl, unfortunate enough to lose both parents shortly after birth. Fortunately, as she grows up, many caring people surround her, and these people are drawn to her boldness, warmth, optimism, smile, and the way she eats. What is happiness, and can she hold on to it? Whom does she truly love: one of the people around her who care for her, or herself? Family affection, love, friendship: can people without blood ties become as close as one family? Deception, theft, murder: can good and evil be measured by the law? When lives are taken in the same way, can one really distinguish right from wrong?
