My Wife Comes First

When Jian Qing first met Lu Simo,

she was an insignificant speck of dust, while he was a distant, aloof heartthrob.

When Jian Qing and Lu Simo started dating,

she was said to have lucked into a match above her station, while he was said to have lost his mind.

When Jian Qing broke up with Lu Simo and left,

she was called cold-hearted and ungrateful, while he was pitifully abandoned.

Everyone said Jian Qing had won at life. Plain-looking, she had somehow landed a top student and aloof dreamboat with a handsome face and a wealthy family. She had the coolheaded, rational Lu Simo wrapped around her finger, then took money from the Lu family and left without a backward glance.

Jian Qing could only say, “Yeah, right!”

From utterly ordinary to a perfect goddess.

From an ugly duckling on campus to a mysterious, aloof, multimillionaire mystery novelist,

whose books consistently top the best-seller lists and are translated into five languages, selling around the world in dozens of countries!

Her dazzling transformation has always been her own doing.

This is the story of a perfect goddess's transformation, from heart to appearance,

and the romantic tale of how she turned an icy heartthrob into a devoted, warmhearted puppy.

Some love stories are like the journey to the West: they weather eighty-one trials before finally reaching their happy ending.

All I wish for in this life is to hold your hand and spend the years ahead with you.

[Lu Simo] Born into a powerful family and exceptionally capable, years later he becomes a top lawyer who always gets his way. He stands above everyone, but once he falls in love, he gives himself over to it for life. Everyone thinks she married up, but only he knows that he craves her warmth and radiance, watching her light up his world.

[Su Zhi] His origins are a mystery. Her childhood friend, a piano prodigy. One glance from him can enchant a city. He's been trailing behind her since they were young, and to him, she is his entire world.

[Huo Dongye] A notorious playboy, walking, talking sex appeal. He wanted to find a safe harbor and bring his great ship to rest, but who knew it was already claimed? Not trying to win her for himself just isn't his way!

[Fu Jingsheng] A gentle, caring man and the nation's beloved movie star. But how could he enter her heart so easily?

She said, “You shouldn't meet someone too dazzling when you're young, or no one else will ever find their way into your heart.”

He said, “I'm nearly obsessive about everything I care about. When I love someone, I love them for life.”

[Love is when two different people accept each other's differences, blend together, and gradually become alike.]
