“You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be someone I like...”
This story has both happy and sad moments. It's lighthearted and funny, with a little angst. Everyone's welcome to take the plunge:
Excerpt One:
“Who gave you the nerve to actually...” He didn't finish the sentence. His legs pressed tightly together as he tried to hide his pain, reaching down to touch his lower half. He glared at the culprit through gritted teeth, his expression truly a classic.
“Sorry, I didn't mean to.” Anyone can play innocent, especially Qian Xia, an actress. When it comes to acting, she can hold her own against anyone. Of course she did it on purpose. Who told him he could get handsy? If she didn't show him what she could do, how would she ever stand her ground in this house? Did he think she was a pushover? She'd show him what a real tigress looked like.
Only Qian Xia seemed to have forgotten that getting handsy is perfectly normal between husband and wife!
Excerpt Two:
Him: “Did I say you could come in?”
Her: “You didn't say I couldn't!”
Him: “Get out.”
Her: “No one ever taught me how to roll. Why don't you show me?” He thought she would just leave because he said so? What did he take her for? Even a ball needs a push to roll, and water has to reach a certain temperature to boil. How could anyone just roll away on command?
Excerpt Three:
“What is this?” He tossed an entertainment magazine in front of Qian Xia. The cover showed her embracing an actor. Was there really any need to make a fuss over a cover shoot?
Qian Xia laid an entertainment newspaper over the magazine. “Then what is this?” The headline was clearly about rumors linking him to an actress.
“Didn't I tell you not to take intimate photos, kiss on camera, or do love scenes? Did you forget everything I said?”
Talk about a double standard!
“If I'm not allowed to do this or that, how am I supposed to work? I'm done!”
“Exactly. You should leave the entertainment industry. It's not like I can't support you.”
“We're over.”
He stared blankly...
