The Sickly Prince's Poisonous Consort

A fierce spirit transmigrates into the body of the unlucky legitimate daughter of the Xiao family, but no one said she had to put up with all the inexplicable crap that girl endured... She’s too full of baleful energy? They want Buddha to cleanse it away? Yeah, right! No one’s coming to get her, and she’s perfectly happy on her own! Male cousins? So what? I was born a legitimate daughter, after all. Got a problem with that? Then tell your fathers to reincarnate early next time and get in line! Female cousins? Oh, come on! She’s been raised for over a decade and she’s still brimming with baleful energy. What of it? If you know what’s good for you, keep your distance. Otherwise, I’ll curse you until you’re missing an arm or a leg, and don’t blame me! Old Madam Xiao? You’re just in time. Weren’t you the one who dumped me in a nunnery to be raised? You should know what a remarkable place that nunnery was. Let me pick an auspicious day, and then I’ll tell you and whoever’s waiting outside all about it, nice and slowly, with a few embellishments! My handsome father? I’ve looked you up and down and studied you for ages, and honestly, I don’t know what to say... The sickly prince asks specifically for the Xiao family’s legitimate daughter? Her sisters all turn pale, but she throws both hands up: I’ll go! I’ll go! She plans to be free once the sickly prince dies, but after seeing him so pale and frail, she can’t help feeling sorry for him. She cleverly helps him beat the poison and secretly adds medicinal ingredients to his meals to nurse him back to health. She thinks everything is under control and will work out just as planned, but although he survives, he’s still no better off... Desperate to find out why, she racks her brains day and night. Every night, she waits for him to fall asleep, then reads by lamplight, vowing not to stop until she finds the cause. Little does she know that when she nods off at her desk, it isn’t her maid Qiuyue who puts a coat over her to keep her warm... She says, “You mess with me? You’re dead! You mess with him? I’ll make you wish you were dead!” He says, “Mess with me? Come on, if you want to die! Mess with her? Go home and keep your neck clean!”
