After transmigrating, Su Jin finds herself with a dilapidated house, relatives yelling at her, and a tiny baby who cries for milk. She can only stare up at the heavens in speechless despair. Could any transmigrator have it worse?
She wants to start a business, but has no capital. No problem: she has plenty of smarts.
She wants to buy land, but has no power. No problem: she has plenty of potential.
She wants to open a shop, but has no influence. No problem: she has plenty of friends.
So she takes the little dumpling with her and throws herself into a whirlwind of work. Once her purse is bulging, her biological parents, aunts and uncles, and even distant relatives she barely knows start showing up one after another, hoping to swindle her out of her money, take her land, or seize her shop. She has never been one to back down. If they dare target her, they had better be ready for the consequences!
Before she can even chase off all the troublesome relatives, another scheming wolf comes along!
Su Jin is furious. Has this man got a death wish? He actually dares to fight her for her son. Just watch her use every trick in the book to bring this wolf to heel!
Scene One:
“Mother, that person looks so much like me.” The innocent little dumpling gazes at the dashing, handsome man in the distance, utterly smitten.
“Baby, how many times have I told you not to say that about every man you see? Sure, growing up with a father is important, but your tough-as-nails mother has filled in some of the gaps, hasn’t she?” The woman sighs helplessly. Her little dumpling is getting more and more desperate for a father.
“But Mother, he really does look like me! Maybe he really is my father.” The little dumpling is getting anxious. The handsome man is walking farther and farther away. If they don’t chase after him now, they’ll never find him.
“...” The woman can only stare in speechless disbelief. How many times has this happened now? This boy is so starved for a father’s love. Maybe she really should find him a dad.
Scene Two:
“Woman, I paid the deposit on this land first. What gives you the right to compete with me for it?” The handsome man glares at her, looking determined to get his way.
“People say a real man doesn’t pick fights with a woman, yet you insist on fighting with me. Tell me, what kind of man does that make you?” The woman leans lazily against the doorway and raises an eyebrow at him in disdain.
“Mother, Baby knows! He’s a bad man!” The fiercely protective little dumpling rushes over, plants his hands on his hips, and glares at the handsome man.
“He’s your son?” The handsome man’s expression changes when he sees how much the little dumpling resembles him. He scoops the boy up and slings him over his shoulder. “I don’t want the land anymore. I’m taking this kid!”
Scene Three:
“I have countless shops, plots of land, and estates. My assets are clearly worth more than yours. Why should I be the one to marry you? If anyone’s getting married, it should be you!” The woman lifts her chin proudly, determined not to marry this notorious playboy, even if he is Baby’s biological father.
“I may not have mountains of gold and silver, but I have a heart that loves you, and I’m Baby’s biological father. Isn’t that enough for you to marry down?” The handsome man raises an eyebrow, helpless before this sharp-tongued, soft-hearted woman.
“Unless you have more money than I do, you can just wait and see what it’s like to marry into my family!” The woman remains smug. Hmph, let’s see if a grown man like him is willing to swallow his pride and marry her.
“It’s just a title. Fine, my dear, let’s get to the wedding chamber first.” With that, the handsome man hoists her up and carries her off to bed.
