The Countess

Aileen landed in a free fall right on Baron Thomas's European-style bed. She had fallen from the twenty-first century back to the thirteenth, and from China to Ireland.

Medieval Western Europe, the beautiful island of Ireland, its pastoral scenery and lovely castles, and the most handsome and youngest Baron Thomas: it all made Aileen's European adventure a thrilling, wonderful dream. She seized his territory, took charge of his people, and launched a full-scale campaign of harassment by sea, land, and air, until she had completely conquered Baron Thomas himself.

A devoted one-on-one romance, with the grand sweep of taking cities and conquering lands, plus pastoral scenery, trade routes, and plenty of sweet moments together. The heroine is strong and clever, though a little scatterbrained and slow to catch on when it comes to the hero. The hero is cunning and wise, and to top it all off, he has an incredibly handsome face and spoils his wife rotten.

This story was inspired by the famous “Irish Marriage Contract of a Hundred Years,” so it's an incredibly sweet read. If you like it, please add it to your favorites!
