Wall
Literature墙
(france) Jean-paul Sartre
"The Wall" is one of Sartre's masterpieces. Includes Sartre's famous works "The Wall" and "Nausea", as well as "A Life in Letters" which is considered to represent his highest artistic achievement. The five works collected in the short story collection "The Wall" put forward a basic proposition of existential philosophy: "People are free, and their destiny depends on their own choices." "Nausea" puts forward another basic proposition of existential philosophy in a literary form: "Existence without essence is equal to nothingness." The popular explanation is "To live in confusion is equal to a blank." The autobiographical novel "The Literary Life" tells the author's own process of self-recognition and self-realization in a witty and interesting way, explaining the starting point of existential thought and the entire theory.

The papers included in the collection are generally divided into four parts, namely longitudinal papers, electric power papers, petroleum papers and coal papers. A total of sixteen papers discuss China's energy development and evolution in modern times from different angles. Due to the limitations of research foundation and focus, readers can see that these papers are only preliminary attempts from the perspective of energy history. We hope that the publication of these papers will attract more researchers' attention and participation, and truly bring the research on my country's energy history to a new and higher level.

The Myth of Sisyphus
Literature西绪福斯神话
(french) Abel Camus
Sisyphus was punished by the gods. He had to push a boulder up the mountain, but the stone rolled back down the mountain due to its own weight. He had to go down the mountain and push the boulder up the mountain again, and so on. Camus believed that Sisyphus was an absurd hero. He devoted his whole body and mind to a seemingly ineffective cause, but his passion for life and contempt for God made himself extremely powerful and thus transcended the mercy of fate. Camus saw the absurd fate of life from this mythical story, and he tried to clarify the meaning of absurdity to people through speculation.

This wonderful anthology selects about 100 master works in the field of natural literature from the East and the West, focusing on the six major themes of earth, sky, fire, water, surprise, and deep thought, to present the myriad wonders of nature and mankind's endless pursuit and exploration of nature. The collection contains poetry, essays, novel fragments, diaries, letters, as well as articles of more scientific and natural history interest. From the heather bushes on the Yorkshire moors described by Charlotte Bronte, to the changing colors of the sky observed and recorded by Leonardo da Vinci, to the drifting clouds in Matsuo Basho's eyes, this rich collection combines a variety of unique perspectives and perceptions - lyrical, awe-inspiring, praising, and philosophical, revealing that the tradition of nature writing is long-standing and infinitely varied.

The 57 lively and lovely children are like 57 dazzling stars, dotting the vast and twinkling night sky, forming a warm and harmonious big family. Under the careful care of many outstanding teachers, our originally barren spirits were nourished and we were led to the romantic and magical land of literature. As a result, a year of not writing or plowing gave birth to a vibrant paradise and a pure and holy spiritual soil. In the days to come, with my handwriting and my heart, we will still walk happily and bravely on the road of literature, where flowers and thorns coexist!

It also includes classic articles such as "Hard Work, My Motherland", "Chairman Mao Is with Us", "Mourning for Smedley" and "Corporal Punishment". Among them, "Ten Thousand Trees Silently Waiting for the Rain" tells the author's experience as a war travel reporter for Ta Kung Pao in the autumn of 1942 when he visited the front lines of Jiangxi and Zhejiang and the Fujian war zone. It shows pictures of blood and tears in half of the southeastern half of the country under the iron heel of the enemy. This book relatively comprehensively displays the sufferings suffered by people in the author's era and the revolutionary enthusiasm of the military and civilians, and demonstrates the author's patriotic spirit. While expressing his hatred for the old era, it also expresses the author's confidence that a bright future will come.

志愿北理,益路有你:北京理工大学教育基金会“我与公益”征文大赛优秀作品选编
Li Zhenjian Wang Qunchao
The more than 50 articles included in this collection are all written by BIT students based on their own volunteer experience. Among these volunteers, there are freshmen who have just entered university, senior graduates with rich experience, and graduate students who have already devoted themselves to scientific research. Although the contributors are of very different grades, the word "philanthropy" connects students from all periods. They share Akagi's public welfare heart, quietly dedicate love while studying, but do good deeds without asking for anything in return, and practice the public welfare spirit with practical actions. Here, we display their deeds, share their stories, and promote their spirit in the form of anthologies, so that the public spirit can be widely spread inside and outside the campus.
