Water transportation and canal transportation in ancient China lasted for nearly two thousand years. Water transport in each dynasty had its quantity and expansion, but essentially it was sustainable in the Ming and Qing dynasties and unsustainable in the Ming and Qing dynasties. This book divides the history of ancient Chinese water transportation into two stages: the Ming and Qing dynasties. The former continuously fulfilled the ancient Chinese water transportation dream and was essentially sustainable. The latter pursued the sustainability of river transportation despite being unsustainable and also had the spirit of constantly realizing the dream. The first volume mainly studies the history of water transportation from Yu the Day to the Yuan Dynasty, demonstrating the ancient Chinese people's spirit of dreaming about water transportation; the second volume mainly studies the history of river and canal management in the Ming and Qing dynasties, showing their pursuit of sustainability despite the unsustainability of canals.

Chang Huaimin's heart is affected by all the big and small events in East Bay. On this day, Chang Huaimin missed dinner at the police station when he came back from the countryside. He cooked a package of instant noodles and ate it, then walked out of the station to take a walk and think about his thoughts. People from the mountains are moving out one after another, and the number of people in the village is becoming increasingly scarce, but there is no shortage of things like this or that. Just as he was thinking about it, a light flashed across the road and there was a roar. He could tell that it was a man riding a motorcycle passing by. Looking at the watch, it's already past ten o'clock in the evening. Who is still walking at night at this time? Looking at the direction, heading towards Wu'an Village, Chang Huaimin felt a little suspicious in his mind. When he returned to the office, he saw that everyone had gone to bed. He washed his feet and did not go to bed. He sat at his desk and felt as if there was something else. "Ding ding ding..." The phone in the duty room rang suddenly.
