It mainly tells the story of the Han Dynasty who made Xijun, the daughter of King Jiangdu, a princess and married King Wusun away from home. Xijun was unfit for life outside the Great Wall and died. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty then married Princess Jieyoufeng, the granddaughter of King Liu Wu of Chu, to Wang Junxumi of Wusun, the grandson of Lie Mi. Jieyou and his maid Feng Liao lived in Wusun for fifty years. During this period, King Ri Zhu of the Xiongnu returned to the Han Dynasty. Countries in the Western Regions requested the protection of the Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty established a Protectorate in the Western Regions and officially unified the Western Regions.
