White Snow Season
Literature白雪季
Wen Yajun
There has never been a good day in the twelfth lunar month near the end of the year. The white sun hanging in the winter sky lazily cast its not-so-splendid light on Hanyuan Village, even though God passed by in a flourishing way two days before the auspicious day of Youjiu. There was a heavy snowfall, but the Hanyuan Village was on a high ground and there was no obstruction around it. A black wind blew away two-thirds of the snow on the land at night, filling the ditches and bumps on the plateau. There was only a thin layer of snow left on the plateau, covering the wheat fields and the village in white. It's a pity that the wheat field under the plateau does not belong to Hanyuan Village. All the old people in Hanyuan Village feel that they are at a disadvantage. They stand on the edge of the plateau just like in previous years, looking at the winter wheat on the plateau around them that is not covered by snow, and at the white paper-like fields under the plateau in front of them. The old man sighs and curses God.

The works in this book not only highlight the regional characteristics, but also transcend and downplay the regional color. They not only have the desolation of border literature, but also have warmth and warmth due to the desolation, forming a broad vision of literary significance to a certain extent. The work moves from the solid and simple hometown to the desolate vastness of the frontier, and from the desolate frontier to the crowds and chaos of the metropolis. Every change of spiritual geography expressed by the author is first reflected in the geography of survival. Therefore, this kind of perception and carrying animation contains many entanglements of life: the power and tragedy of the spirit, the triviality, helplessness, and incomprehension of reality, but also perseverance, warmth, and the endless flow of streams.

In our hometown, when we ask how old you are, we don't ask how many years you are, but how many "sins" you have. I have never understood why you ask this. If it is a dialect, the pronunciation of "Sui" and "Sin" are too different. Later, after experiencing some difficulties in the human world, I gradually realized that how many years you live is actually how many sins you have suffered in the human world. The old man explained the mystery of life with one simple word, but it is much deeper than the so-called philosopher. My parents are over 60 years old.
