"Beili Zhi" is a collection of Chinese classical Chinese notes compiled by Sun Qi in the Tang Dynasty. The book records the life of geishas in Kangli, Beiping, Chang'an (today's Xi'an, Shaanxi) before Zhonghe (the reign name of Emperor Xizong of Tang Dynasty). Beili is Pingkangli in Chang'an City in the Tang Dynasty, where the singers lived. The servants and horses are luxurious, and the banquets and excursions are luxurious. Hence the name "Beili Zhi". The book reflects one aspect of the life of the scholars at that time, and a few entries also reflect the pain and pursuit of love of the singers. It also preserves some poetic works of scribes and singers, which were collected by later compilers of Tang poetry. It provides a lot of material for us to understand the status of the street singer industry in the Tang Dynasty and the style of scholars and poetry at the end of the Tang Dynasty. Through the narrative in the book, we can examine the life of citizens in Kyoto during the Tang Dynasty, which has certain historical value.

Fu Zhanxiang stood at the bow of the boat, but his cold body felt no warmth. On Jiejin Mountain on the right bank of Heilongjiang, all the mature trees had been cut down long ago. In Fu Zhanxiang's memory, it seemed that in the blink of an eye, only a few low shrubs were left on the once dense mountains. Due to lack of rain, the branches and leaves were withered and covered with dust. At the foot of the mountain is the fishing village of Hezhe, where he lives, with rows of low adobe houses facing the Lianhua River. The accountant of the production team carried the gong and led him to the entrance of the village. The most lively place in Harbin is Central Street. The entire street, which is more than two miles long, is paved with stones. Rectangular granites are placed at the smallest end. Sugar maple trees covered with darts are planted on the sidewalks on both sides. The lush branches and leaves hold hands tightly in mid-air. The gaps in the leaves are like a dense mesh sieve. The sunlight is leaked into fine sand and sprinkled on the road with staggered grooves. The city has many stone paths. When the stone is hard, the road will also be hard. I think Central Street is the only one that is soft. Its northern end is next to the Songhua River, and the water is soft. On both sides of those stone streets were all the public offices with serious faces, this bureau, that committee, and on Central Street, the whole street was open for business. In addition to big department stores, there were also small shops specializing in accordions, cultural and educational supplies, and knitting balls. Especially the one selling vinyl records, which only had a cramped business room.
