The story begins with an ordinary family in Changchun, Northern China. Liu Rangqiu lost his mother and grandmother when he was a child. Silence is the theme of the entire family. Rangqiu and his grandfather depended on each other. In order to find their grandmother who ran away with dementia, they traveled through the streets of Changchun. In high school, Jean Qiu and Xu Qiao met after a student who was repeating the same school committed suicide. Rang Qiu discovered that Xu Qiao looked no different from ordinary people on the surface. In fact, she was unable to recognize strangers because her grandmother dropped her head when she was born. She suffered from a very rare disease called "agnosia." Both Liu Rangqiu and Xu Qiao have been abandoned before. They regard each other as their support, sing chorus together, help disabled classmates resist school, and save money to go to concerts together. Later, Liu Rangqiu had a conflict with his teacher to protect Xu Qiao and was sent to a juvenile detention center.
