Chinese prose has a long history. Thousands of years of prose creation, whether lyrical, expressing aspirations, describing scenes, or expressing feelings about people... All reflect the changes of the times and people's thoughts and emotions. These fine traditions of Chinese prose have not only been fully inherited in the new literature since the 20th century, but have also continued to innovate and develop. In order to demonstrate the creative achievements of Chinese prose since the twentieth century, we edited and published thirty types of "Chinese Prose Collection" at the beginning of the new century. Since 2005, we have selected 26 types on this basis and published them as the first and second series of "Chinese Prose Illustrated Collection Edition". This time ten more types were selected and published as the third volume.

This book takes novels since the 21st century as the research object, takes "place" as the research perspective, adopts a research method that combines case analysis and theoretical analysis, and analyzes the characteristics of local writing in novels in the new century from the three dimensions of city, countryside, and border areas. It also points out the many new literary characteristics of writers in this writing in terms of subject selection, theme presentation, aesthetic pursuit, and artistic form. Based on the overall observation and in-depth analysis of the research object, the literary value and literary historical significance of local writing in novels in the new century are summarized, and on this basis, its possible development direction is prospected.

The book "New Changes in Style and Academic Culture of the Southern Dynasties" systematically explores the new changes in representative literary styles such as Song Ci, Yongming style, quatrain style, and seven-character poetry in the Southern Dynasties.
