"Yuanyuantang Essays" is Feng Zikai's masterpiece. It was published by Kaiming Bookstore in January 1931 and has far-reaching influence. His cartoons often use simple lines to outline vivid and lifelike characters, and they are rich in meaning, making people laugh and can't help but think a lot. He is unique in the Chinese painting world of the 20th century. In "Preface to the Collection of Feng Zikai's Paintings", the writer himself once wrote: "What I like most is that the big can be seen in the small, and I also want to have lingering sounds beyond the strings."
