The Ming and Qing dynasties were the era when novels flourished. Novels incorporated a large number of poems, lyrics, music, rhymes and other rhymes, which were most popular in the Ming Dynasty, forming a beautiful scenery of the combination of prose and rhyme in the narratives of Ming Dynasty novels. The whole book is divided into three volumes: "Compilation of Parasitic Ci and Music in Vernacular Novels of Ming Dynasty", "Compilation of Parasitic Ci and Music in Classical Chinese Novels of Ming Dynasty", and "Compilation of Parasitic Ci and Music in Ming Dynasty Novels". More than 700 novels of the Ming Dynasty have been comprehensively surveyed, and a total of 5,806 parasitic lyrics and music have been compiled (including about 1,400 reoccurring poems). This book can be called a masterpiece of the compilation of parasitic lyrics and music in Ming Dynasty novels.
