"Declaring War on Mediocrity: Chinese Pioneers·Second Series" is a summary of the creation of Chinese avant-garde poems in 2020. It includes the 2020 Motie Poetry Award, exhibitions and interviews of the top ten poets' works, and the 100 best Chinese poems in 2020. It also compiles and includes the transcripts of the "Poet's Speech: Concepts and Writing" speech event and the introduction of the 2020 "Motie Poetry Monthly Report" as important poetry materials this year. The "Chinese Pioneer" series continues to focus on contemporary Chinese poetry creation, fully considering the richness of aesthetics, while also emphasizing the recognition and uniqueness of poets. This book includes the 2019 Motie Poetry Award, an exhibition of works of the top ten Chinese poets, interviews with the top ten poets, and the 100 best Chinese poems. It provides a summary of the creation of contemporary Chinese avant-garde poetry in 2019. We place more emphasis on the language concept of "Chinese" and downplay the concept of country: on a global scale, poets who write in Chinese, no matter which country they are from, should have the opportunity to be included in this book.
