About This Novel
This book includes the 2019 Motie Poetry Award, an exhibition of works of the top ten Chinese poets, interviews with the top ten poets, and the 100 best Chinese poems. It provides a summary of the creation of contemporary Chinese avant-garde poetry in 2019. We place more emphasis on the language concept of "Chinese" and downplay the concept of country: on a global scale, poets who write in Chinese, no matter which country they are from, should have the opportunity to be included in this book. We took into account the richness of the aesthetics, but also the recognition and uniqueness of the poet. We always welcome personalized voices. From a avant-garde perspective, we are also more willing to lean toward poems that boldly experiment and create new aesthetic possibilities.
