The Person Who Sells His Wife
General Fiction推销老婆的人
Chen Jiyi
When I woke up early in the morning, there was snow piled outside the window. The snow fell quietly all night without a sound. The world seems to be dead, wrapped in white sheets, lying stiff outside the window. No, that's not a good sign. Fatty sighed, worried that the bad weather would affect his plans to get rid of his wife. He got dressed and walked out of his room. His wife's door was still closed and his son was sleeping soundly in the hallway. This is an affordable house of more than 40 square meters. I spent all my savings and borrowed 30,000 yuan to buy it when my son was born. Now it looks old and cramped, like an extra hotel near the station. He had been divorced from his wife for eight months. The son is over 18 years old, so there is no need to discuss who should be awarded. We are going to let him find food on his own. There was only two thousand yuan in the bankbook, and there was no need to argue about how to divide it. He gave it all to his wife. The trouble now is that this house cannot be broken in half.

Dog
General Fiction狗
Chen Jiyi
The son brought the dirty dog back. Of course he would praise it if he brought it back, but he said it would be better if he picked it up again. But I didn't try to push it out. On the contrary, I wanted to take it in, clean it up, and raise it until it was white and fat. In fact, I have always wanted to have a dog, a dog of my own. Isn't it fashionable to own a dog now? In the community where I live, every morning or when it gets dark, when all kinds of dog owners take their dogs out for a walk, you can see this kind of animal peeing with one leg raised, whether at the corner of the building, on a tree trunk, or under a telephone pole. The urine dripped like a prostatic hyperplasia. Actually I don't like raising dogs. When I go to visit a teacher or leader, and I hear a dog barking at me as soon as I knock on the door, or I see a dog squatting on the roadside defecating, looking flustered and chirping, at that moment I hate dogs.

It happened one evening in autumn, when the nine-year-old boy Ant came back from herding cattle. Someone told him: Your father, Mao Zongwen, who has been dead for many years, is back. The ant was dubious and very excited. He spanked the cow's butt with a bamboo branch. When the cow ran, the tendon trembled like a hump. The cow crossed the path by the stream and ran to the bridge, but the ants held it back. "Go from the stream! You bastard! I haven't washed my face yet! How can I go to see my father if I'm so dirty!..." The ants and the cow rushed into the stream, and the autumn water was already cold.

The Savages of Wu Village (a Collection of Novels by Contemporary Chinese Writers Called "sharp Power")
General Fiction吴村野人(“锐势力”中国当代作家小说集)
Chen Jiyi
This book consists of 6 novellas. The themes of the stories all come from the place where the author lived, Wucun. These novels show remarkable characteristics in their creative techniques: although they give readers a realist impression, they also make people feel a bit avant-garde and weird after reading them. Presented through vivid characters one by one, the novel focuses on the combination of imagination, humor, critical spirit and real life, or writes about the absurdity of survival, or the complexity of human nature, or the impermanence of fate, all of which bring strong ideological impact and space for thinking to readers. Most of these novels tell "anti-traditional" stories with a traditional realist attitude, which is a concrete example of the author's novel style of "preferring modern writing".

Sounds from the Earth
General Fiction大地上的声音
Chen Jiyi
"Voices from the Earth" is a new collection of novels by Chen Jiyi, winner of the "October" Emerging Character Award. It tells three stories that happened in Wucun, Zhejiang: the talented hunchback and the Wu Opera troupe experienced rise and fall in the mountain villages and cities; the young people from the mountain village went to the small town to go to the market and got into conflicts and entanglements with the castration; and the adopted orphans illuminated the world and lives of others. Chen Jiyi puts the characters in a dark situation, and uses a calm, smooth and powerful narrative to write about the love and pain, persistence and persistence of ordinary people in rural areas in the changing times, reflecting from one side the agitation and changes in the social transformation of southern China's rural areas. The entire collection of novels has a distinct southern tone, and the establishment of this tone does not only come from the Jiangnan sentiment in the traditional sense. The author embeds the heterogeneous sense of avant-garde literature in realism techniques, giving this southern narrative a different weight.
