This book was co-authored by Gao Hu, the founding member and lead singer of the band, current guitarist Song Jie, bassist Zhang Jing, and drummer Dawei. It tells the story of how they each fell in love with music when they were growing up, and then embarked on the tortuous journey of music. The experiences of Gao Hu and several other band members are a microcosm of the experiences of that generation of Chinese rock musicians.
