Shen Yunhe, a young history doctor in the 21st century, accidentally obtained a mysterious ancient book while researching archives from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The ancient books radiated light on a thunderstorm night, bringing him into an overhead time and space that was "half like the Ming and Qing dynasties, half not historical." This dynasty in time and space is both like the Ming Dynasty and an empire that has never appeared before: there are huge differences between technology, culture, military and reality.
