The Man in the High Castle (the Original Work of the Popular American Tv Series of the Same Name)

(us) Philip K. Dick

165K7.7

On November 15, 2019, the fourth season of the finale of the American drama "The Man in the High Castle" was launched. The original work was written by the science fiction genius Philip K. Dick and won the Hugo Award. Liu Cixin highly recommends it! "The Man in the High Castle" uses the "Book of Changes" to guide the plot, and through interspersed descriptions of characters of different classes and identities, it tells a reversed "history" - the Allies were defeated in World War II, and the United States was divided and occupied by Germany and Japan. It explores justice and injustice, cultural inferiority and identity, as well as the consequences of fascist dictatorship and racial discrimination on human society. After Amazon adapted the book into a series of the same name, it once again made the novel a hot topic, triggering a heated discussion among viewers and readers: What would happen to the world if the Allies lost World War II?
