He was forced by his parents since he was a child to show up on the streets to promote the God his parents believed in in order to make a living. However, the poor and humble Clyde had an ambitious American dream. He was obsessed with climbing and indulged in wine, sex and material enjoyment. Clyde made a girl with a lower status than himself pregnant with a child, but he was unwilling to marry her, firstly because she would be a burden to him, and secondly because at this time, a young lady from the upper class happened to fall in love with him, which could help him escape poverty and rise to the top. So Clyde designed to murder the kind and innocent poor girl.
