Fish King
General Fiction鱼王
(russia) Viktor Astafiev
The Russian literary legacy highly praised by Wang Xiaobo has been introduced in its entirety for the first time in China. The novel "The Fish King" is Astafiev's most personal masterpiece and a classic of contemporary Russian literature. The book is composed of thirteen "narrative short stories" with relatively independent contents, all centered on the relationship between man and nature. It depicts Siberia full of mysterious temptations in depth and detail, as well as the people living there, and their reflections on life. The desolate, bitter and cold natural environment is at the same time a place where nature shows its majesty, vastness and richness. Although human footprints are like claws in snow and mud, they still carry the dignity of endless life. These chapters show a unique style in terms of ideological content and artistic form, downplaying the plot, and describing the details delicately and vividly. They "integrate novels, novellas, lyrical essays, and moral discussions into one" (Wang Xiaobo). They reveal coherent content and images from different angles and methods, just like a string of pearls strung inadvertently, each one reflecting dazzling light with its own beauty.

Tree Number
Literature树号
(russia) Viktor Astafiev
"Tree Number" is a record of Astafiev's creative trajectory. While exploring the wild forest of literature, he cut down his own "tree number". These marks in turn guided him to move deeper into the original forest of creation and explore unfamiliar areas. Astafiev inherited the tradition of Russian folk poetry and described nature through anthropomorphic views. In this work of difficult to define style, the common theme is the exploration of the meaning of life and the contemplation of human destiny. All this makes Astafiev occupy a certain position not only in the Russian literary world, but also in the world literary world. This book is selected from "Tree Numbers", "Russian Pastoral Ode" and some works published in Russian newspapers and periodicals. Published with exclusive authorization from the author's descendants, and the entire translation has been revised and reviewed by the translator.
