The "Golden Russia Series" is edited by Wang Jianzhao, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Foreign Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University and a famous poet and translator. It selects classic works by Pushkin, Herzen, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Turgenev and other masters to present beautiful and profound Russian literature to Chinese readers.

This book includes the representative works of Pushkin's poetry and representative works of Gorky's prose translated by Mr. Ge Baoquan, the first generation leader of Russian translation in New China. Chinese readers are very familiar with Pushkin's poem "If Life Deceived You", but not all of them know that this translation was first written by Mr. Ge Baoquan. As soon as this translation came out, it was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Later translators basically continued to use it, and those who found other ways were unsuccessful, which shows the exquisiteness of Mr. Ge's translation. Similarly, Gorky's "Haiyan" was once included in the textbook, but many people don't know that this translation was translated by Mr. Ge Baoquan.

This book follows the historical development of Russian lyric poetry and collects more than 400 poems from more than 300 years. Among them, there are many representative works by some star poets, such as Pushkin, Tyutchev, Feit, Yesenin, Tsvetaeva, etc.
