I really like this article! Maybe because I am also an idealist + INFP + a die-hard fan of literature, sometimes I can really empathize with Fang Zeqing and Li Xia. Because of my long-standing love for literature, I resolutely chose a major in the college entrance examination. I still remember looking at the application guide to see the lowest admission rankings of the schools I wanted to go to, and I was always thinking about how to ensure that I could learn the major I wanted. My grades were enough to get into 985. My parents and teachers also kept persuading me, saying that the first academic degree was very important and that I could change my major after entering school. However, I was too afraid of missing out on my ideal major. I had decided that I wanted to study in this field since junior high school, so in the end I didn't listen to my parents and teachers and got admitted into a 211 program. But when I actually started studying, I found that my thoughts were too ideal. This year when we were in the job requirements, the teacher talked to us about the employment situation, the current situation, and the way out. The classmates around me also said every day that they regretted enrolling in this major and regretted studying literature. Sometimes I gradually became confused. Occasionally, I would question my original decision and imagine what would happen if I was not so idealistic. I still had this thought until I read this article, but now that I see Fang Zeqing's struggle, I feel that we are too similar. I am eager to prove that my ideal is not a mirror image, and eager to tell the world that my choice is not meaningless. However, we have already shouldered too much while waiting for "the ideal to come true." Sometimes I feel that I am no longer pure about literature. It is difficult for me to find the feeling I had in middle school. With heavy coursework, I will still open the collection of essays at hand during the ten minutes between classes, and read while walking with the book after school in the evening. That kind of pure enjoyment is what Yu Dafu calls "golden" days". At that time, I seized all the spare time to read books, and I enthusiastically shared my thoughts with my classmates at that time. Now, time has gone away. But Xia Xia and Fang really inspire me, they are so vivid, I always have the feeling that they are all in front of me. Fang's dilemma, Xia Xia's explanation, and their dialogue were also enlightening to me. I couldn't help crying when Xia Xia decided to raise cheese. I felt that this was really a kind of reconciliation, a kind of dialogue, and a kind of resonance. May every idealist's ideals last forever!
