My Picky Picks for Historical Romance and Danmei 古言古耽个人挑剔版

1 帝 The Emperor's Spoils (Reborn) 帝王的战利品（重生） Gray Valley灰谷Danmei (BL)544k WordsCompleted 210kFavorites300.6kClicks/ch194.2kGifts

Curator note

Different from other recommendations in the book list, this one is good at relationships. The process of two people getting to know each other and staying in love is worth savoring.

2 山 Mountain Lord 山君 Zhi Youjiu枝呦九Romance471k WordsCompleted 160.9kFavorites173.2kClicks/ch137.5kGifts

Curator note

The author is so good at depicting scenes and highlights that I can't remember the plot after reading it, but some of the scene descriptions are still vivid in my mind (the plot is not amazing in comparison, but it is very smooth)

3 穿 Reborn as the Legitimate Eldest Grandson in an Imperial Exam Novel 穿成科举文里的嫡长孙 MM BeanMM豆Romance940k WordsCompleted 286.7kFavorites584.2kClicks/ch615.2kGifts

Curator note

The only imperial examination document that I read. The writing is exquisite and the protagonist can be called a gentleman

4 [ [History Livestream] Beneath the Green Annals, All Generations Hear [历史直播]青史之下，百代共闻 He Dao Guanshan何到关山No CP494k WordsCompleted 60.3kFavorites115.5kClicks/ch101.5kGifts

Curator note

This is beside the point. Recommended privately, it's a cool article (?)

5 吉 Good Fortune 吉祥如意 Orchid Boat at Dusk暮兰舟Romance835k WordsCompleted 54.7kFavorites59.8kClicks/ch104.4kGifts

Curator note

The survival history of little people. (Ming Dynasty?) Miniature landscape

6 摄 The Regent 摄政王 Scorpion Orchid蝎子兰Danmei (BL)916k WordsCompleted 47.3kFavorites32.6kClicks/ch39.3kGifts

Curator note

Dynasty epic. The regent who grows green onions is blessed with destiny. The narrative of the entire article well integrates and balances historical facts and fiction, gods and ghosts and materialism.

7 引 Drawing the Bow 引弓 April Gourd四月葫芦Danmei (BL)998k WordsOngoing 42.8kFavorites29kClicks/ch107.8kGifts

Curator note

A very well written article about the war. The two protagonists' emotions, characters, and plot are combined very naturally, reinforcing each other rather than being two skinned ones.

8 大 The Pearl of the Han Dynasty: My Mother Is Lu Pheasant 大汉明珠之我娘是吕雉 Bean Blossoms豆角开花Romance2.5M WordsCompleted 21.8kFavorites105.2kClicks/ch27.8kGifts

Curator note

Saw it a long time ago. But the Han Dynasty background and historical figures are well portrayed

9 青 Green Bamboo 青竹 Yu Feng寓风Danmei (BL)846k WordsCompleted 18.7kFavorites16.9kClicks/ch44.4kGifts

Curator note

I didn't read it at first, but then I picked it up and watched it again. It's great! It's really fun to draw little picture books. My wife's ability to create characters has also improved! As mentioned in the story, the two of them came to life. The attack and reception attributes they set at the beginning were not quite right. I saw that maybe it was because the characters were in order (?)

10 当 When the Concubine Becomes a Prince 当侧妃变成王爷 The Sleepy Country Cat打瞌睡的田园猫Romance431k WordsCompleted 2.4kFavorites11.1kClicks/ch4kGifts

Curator note

Definitely five points. This is one of the most interesting Empress novels I have ever read (but the first half is not about how to become an Empress). The characters are logical but not intellectual.
