Bringing Chinese Poetry to the Stars to Heal Everyday Life

Jian transmigrated to the far side of the Milky Way and landed from the start in a theater that was on the verge of collapse. She remembered the famous poems she had read back home. The plot is too clichéd? “Peach blossoms in spring breeze, a cup of wine; ten years of lamplit nights in the rain of the martial world.” That’ll do. The scenery isn’t grand enough? “The roc rises with the wind one day, soaring ninety thousand miles.” Give it a try. The mood isn’t beautiful enough? “Overnight the spring breeze arrives, and thousands upon thousands of pear blossoms bloom.” Take a look. The emotions don’t feel sincere enough? “The Peach Blossom Pool is a thousand feet deep, but Wang Lun’s friendship for me runs deeper still.” Aliens who had never read Chinese poetry all exclaimed after watching: “That was surprisingly good!” Reader’s guide: A parallel world, just for fun. Theme: Keep three feet of literary fragrance in your heart.
