[Douluo Dalu] I'll Take You All On, You Lucky Players

As the genuine child of an (outer) god, Laixia had always thought he was an ordinary person.

That changed on his sixteenth birthday, when his father led him into a basement that didn’t even exist in their house and revealed his true identity in the depths of the sea: “The Supreme Deity,” Azathoth.

Laixia: So that hideous octopus sculpture in the living room is you?

Azathoth: That’s you, silly boy.

His father told him that his body in his mother’s world was about to hatch, and that his mother had run into some trouble there. He had to return to his body and help her reclaim her divinity.

And so Laixia, before he could even receive his sixteenth birthday present, was forced to go to Douluo Dalu.

*

1. The protagonist is the pursuer, paired with Dai Mubai. He’s an extraordinarily childish kid who thinks he’s mature.

2. The little octopus is born with the divinity of a war god. At level 100, he becomes a god outright. His Martial Soul is an armory, while his true form’s tentacles are presented to others as a Second Martial Soul that can’t be given Soul Rings.

3. His mother is Bibi Dong. In this version, she went to Sea God Island to train, eloped with the octopus father, who had snuck into the Douluo World to find her, and got her 100,000-year Soul Ring from him. She has no grudge against Xiao Wu, and Qian Renxue isn’t her daughter.

4. His mother feared that Qian Daoliu and his son would harm the little octopus, so she entrusted the egg to Tang Hao, Tang Xiao, and their sister A Yin, friends she had made during her training.

5. At its core, this is a silly, satisfying story. Everyone survives except the villains, and there’s no angst.

Theme: A mother’s love is the greatest feeling of all.
