[Three Kingdoms] Xue Baochai Warms Wine and Beheads Hua Xiong [Dream of the Red Chamber]

Lin Daiyu never imagined that one day she'd stand on the soil of the Three Kingdoms and watch Xue Baochai, clad in armor and looking dashing, slay Hua Xiong.

Baochai no longer needed to suppress her nature and be a perfect young lady from a respectable family. Instead, she could ride across the plains and fight for what she believed in as a woman general.

In the battle where she slew Hua Xiong over warm wine, she not only cut down the enemy general, but also shattered the shackles of her past life.

Breaking news! Front page of the Great Han Daily:

"Eighteen Warlords Unite Against Dong Zhuo. Mysterious Woman Slays Hua Xiong in Three Moves; Suspected to Be an Immortal Descended to Earth"

Guan Yu: ?? Isn't that my job?

Cao Cao: We absolutely cannot let this woman live... Wait, the sickly strategist beside her seems even more terrifying!

Xue Baochai sheathed her sword, straightened her clothes, and smiled gently. "I hope you weren't too impressed. It was merely a few basic skills women learn in their chambers."

The warlords: ...You call that basic?

"Pin'er, we are free in this life."

"Yes, so this time, I will never let go."

When that little enchantress Diao Chan appeared and flirted with Baochai, Military Strategist Lin finally couldn't keep her cool.

Diao Chan (starry-eyed): "General Bao, my heart..."

Daiyu smiled faintly. "Coveting my person? You must not know what it means to be sweet on the outside and dark within."

"Diao Chan, A Moment of Heartbeat"

Diao Chan had never met a woman like her...

When Xue Baochai returned from slaying Hua Xiong, her silver armor was stained with blood, but she remained composed and graceful. When she took the cup of wine from Lin Daiyu, tenderness shone in her eyes and face.

That night, Diao Chan dreamed that Baochai was drawing her eyebrows.

When she woke, she saw Daiyu sitting by her bed, twirling a dagger. "Some dreams are best left undreamed. They might cost you your life... like fantasizing about my Bao-jiejie."

"What do you mean by that, Miss Lin?"

Daiyu glanced back, a sleeve of flowers fluttering around her. "Sorry, I'm a neat freak. I don't share my wife."

In actual history, Guan Yu did not slay Hua Xiong over warm wine, and Diao Chan did not exist.

Historically, Hua Xiong died at the hands of Sun Jian's army, not Guan Yu. It's also uncertain whether Sun Jian himself killed him.

Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wu, Biography of Sun Jian and Sun Ce: "(Sun) Jian rallied his troops once more and fought at Yangren, thoroughly defeating (Dong) Zhuo's army and beheading its commander Hua Xiong, among others."
