Dark-skinned, muscular, aloof, restrained, celibate monk x innocent, cruel, tsundere immortal lord of mysterious origins
"Amitabha. Good sir, one must not lie before the Buddha."
The carefree young immortal lord Shu Yan falls in love at first sight with a warrior monk from the Buddhist kingdom and chases him across two islands. Master Jueya, however, thinks he's just a handsome womanizer.
Young Lord Shu Yan is distressed. He grabs the Asura King's hair and yanks. "Asura King, Asura King, who in the world loves Master Jueya the most?"
The female Asura King rolls her eyes. "So what if it's you? Do you think he'd ever want you? All you do is throw yourself at him. Have you even thought about what you are?"
Young Lord Shu Yan: "I don't want to be a divine bird anymore!"
Shu Yan: "Help! I just came down to the mortal realm and got kidnapped by water bandits!"
Jueya: "You're noisy."
Shu Yan: "Why didn't you say sooner that the bandit chief was an old friend of yours?"
Jueya: "You didn't ask."
Shu Yan: "Waaah! Are you really going to be this cold to me?"
There are countless tales at sea about those who have passed away. Are the islands scattered across the East Sea like dazzling pearls, and the untouched Sea of Mayflies, truly home to the immortals of legend? Or are they blood-soaked battlegrounds where evil spirits devour their victims?
Immortal islands, Buddhist islands, the six paths of reincarnation, beings who are neither human, ghost, nor god... Are the legends true or false?
